Hire Me

I'm available to write about education, teaching, parenting, motherhood, Judaism, societal/cultural trends, writing, food, politics, growing up in the 70s and 80s, being me, and being you. For a list of my publications, go here.

I also dig editing. If you have a manuscript that needs editing, I have some training and experience in copy-editing and I really enjoy "big picture" editing as well.

I also may be available to tutor and teach about many of the subjects above. I especially like teaching history, civics, and writing. For more about my teaching experience, go here.

Finally, I love to talk! If you think I might be a good panelist or guest speaker, please get in touch.

You can contact me at levy166/at/gmail.com.

  1. Thanks Mrs. Levy for your work. My wife and I are teachers, and are plotting our escape/leave from the field. My daughter is in 9th grade and once she is in college we are going to go do something else. It is just too much grief, too little power, too much disrespect (for me that is the #1 problem) from everybody. . .I believe that this job has a shelf life of maybe 15-20 years. It is not like in the past where people stayed until they were in the latent stages of rigamortis. Saw your comments of Michelle Rhee. . .In DAllas ISD we are employing an army of Teach for America folks. . .they do not last, they do not stay and they care even less. . .with exceptions notwithstanding, most are just exploring the world and getting their loans forgiven.. . Look forward to following your page. . .Are you on Facebook?

  2. Thank you for reading the blog and for commenting. I think teaching can be very challenging to do for too long for some people, especially if you have children of your own--there has to be happy medium between TFA and rigamortis.

I am on facebook but it's almost strictly a personal page. Twitter, however, is a different story. @rachelannelevy is my handle there.

    1. I might contact you in the future to help edit my book about the future of education. The book is a systems book and addresses Mr. Anonymous's problem that comes with today's teaching. Thanks David Naiff for the reference.
